ANSSR Applications
& Contraindications
ANSSR therapy has proven unsurpassed for chronic or intermittent pain caused by traumatic injuries. Since 1997, clients have reported pain elimination in an average of two treatments, even decades after the injury healed. Quick results are possible because the tissue damage has already healed; the autonomic nervous system needs only to relax its chronic tension and erase the memory of physical trauma.
In many cases, old injuries heal normally and no longer cause pain, but still provoke secondary pain and limited range of motion in other areas. For example, a client sustained and healed a severe concussion. The original injury site no longer hurts, but causes secondary neck pain and headaches 30 years later. ANSSR therapy is appropriate for all such cases.
In the 1990s, Andrew Arneson discovered chronic neck exhaustion, the underlying cause of at least 80% of chronic neck pain cases worldwide, with or without injury history or spinal degeneration. Neck exhaustion is easily eliminated in an average of two visits followed by a few weeks of simple homework—neck rest for ten minutes at a time, several times per day—until neck strength is regained. Clients consistently report rapid, dramatic recoveries. Victims of recent injuries are encouraged to seek ANSSR therapy as soon as possible in order to relieve or prevent neck exhaustion.
Instability in the midsection muscles is a universal factor in chronic low back pain. Since the 1990s, ANSSR therapy clients have consistently experienced spontaneous skeletal realignment (without manipulation), instant midsection stability, and pain elimination unavailable from pain management methods. At KPI, the goal for all complaints is independence from pain management. Independence for low back clients is made possible by the ANSSR midsection stability exercise.
Since the 1990s, clients with osteoarthritis (OA) have reported prolonged or permanent pain elimination after one or two ANSSR treatments. Such relief is possible due to the nervous system healing mechanism that removes 1) toxins from the affected areas plus 2) the memory of physical trauma that remains in the nervous system following injuries. Cases of advanced OA will benefit from low impact exercise, ideally water exercise, in the days and weeks following ANSSR therapy. KPI suspects that prolonged relief from OA pain offers the potential for accelerated responses to regenerative medicine, e.g. stem cell therapy or PRP.
Cessation of migraine headaches was the first ANSSR discovery, in 1995. The client must arrive for ANSSR therapy with a migraine in progress or pre-migraine symptoms. Most clients have reported that their migraines stopped completely after an average of four treatments. However, not all migraine sufferers respond well to relaxation therapy. Those who don’t experience radical pain relief during their first ANSSR treatment are not candidates and will not be charged for service.
Unprecedented benefits were observed for RSD/CRPS with severe atrophy, beginning with immediate, dramatic pain relief. (See the case studies page.) Such relief is possible due to deep relaxation and the nervous system healing mechanism that purges toxins from afflicted areas. Clients who don't experience encouraging symptom relief at their first visit are not candidates and will not be charged for service.
Infants seen for safe, noninvasive ANSSR infant therapy have discharged early life trauma in one or two treatments, with outstanding benefits for behavior and health. Injurious, traumatic incidents can occur before, during, or in the first few weeks after birth that are unnoticeable to parents and practitioners. Signs of early trauma can be subtle or glaring, such as rigidity in the infant's facial expression and/or body, lack of affect, disconnection from parents, faraway looks, or general unhappiness. Infant clients must be between six weeks and five months of age, and accompanied by the mother. Infants should be examined by conventional practitioners before their KPI visit.

Disclaimer
Pain relief and biological self-regulation can be extensive and unprecedented in response to ANSSR therapy. However, ANSSR therapy is not intended to cure, treat, mitigate, diagnose, or prevent specific diseases. Regardless of the complaint, clients should consult qualified medical professionals to rule out complex health issues.
Effective Therapy Guarantee
Due to the predictability of nervous system healing responses, KPI guarantees dramatic improvement. Clients who don't respond as expected are not candidates and will not be charged for service. KPI may determine before, during, or after treatment that a client is not a candidate for ANSSR therapy.
